Hue - The Playboy Teddy

Hue - The Playboy Teddy

Welcome to my latest 3D model project, Hue - The Playboy Teddy. This model was created for the purpose of being used as an Avatar for VRChat.

Concept and Design:
~This model depicts a floating kitten like teddy bear, who is made to capture the "Playboy" aesthetic. The Model was created for a commissioner, who wanted the pet to match their avatar's aesthetic.

Key features:
~Passive: Pet will follow you every where you go.
~Pet Stay: Pet will stop following you and will stay in place.
~Pet Stationed: Pet will mount what ever avatar bone you set to be mounted. Recommended bone is listed within the product. (Some Pets Can be mounted using this!)
Example: Some pets can sit on your head when Pet Stationed is triggered
~Pet Follow other players: Pet will follow the player you have in front of you. Interactions must be turned on for both players, and you must have the other player's Avatar loaded.
~Pet Action: Some pets have special interactions, such as if you pet them, kick them, etc. For example, some pets will shake their head when you put your hand on their head.
~Pet Grabbed: Most pets can be grabbed by other players that have interactions turned on. While grabbed, the pet will display special animations depending on the individual pet.
~Pet Camera: Pet Camera allows you to overwrite the stream/photo camera with a "Pet POV" camera, a "Pet Stable" camera, and a "Pet Stable" camera. This feature is great for streamers
~Pet Quest Compatibility: Select Pets come with a quest compatible version that will still allow for players to grab & interact with your pet even while on quest. Mountable pets will still have their station trigger working!

Modeling Process:
~I started with the base model of the base pet, which I've also created myself
~Then, I created the clothing and other base mesh edits in blender
~I Then textured the model in substance painter
~Finally, I brought the model to unity, in order to bring the pet to life in VRChat. Special attention was given to the material set up, and shader coding.

Software Used:
~Blender3D
~PhotoShop
~Substance Painter
~Unity3D

PolyCount:
~Count: 37,400

Textures:
~Map Count: 10
~Resolution: 4k
~Material Count: 2
